Illinois Medicaid Plans We Accept

If you have Illinois Medicaid coverage through one of the plans below, counseling at Infinity Counseling & Wellness Center may be within reach. Infinity supports children, teens, adults and families, and it keeps a dedicated list of the Illinois Medicaid plans it accepts.

Infinity’s office is in Crown Point, Indiana, and there is no Illinois office. This page covers the plan list, how to confirm your coverage for counseling and how location can shape your options.

Accepted Illinois Medicaid Plans

Infinity accepts the four Illinois Medicaid plans listed here. Each plan has its own member services line, and benefits can differ from one plan to another. Enrollment and eligibility questions are outside the scope of this page and are best answered by your plan.

Keep your card nearby when you get in touch, since the exact plan name and member ID make it easier to answer your questions about coverage.

Checking Your Coverage Ahead of Time

A short checklist before your first appointment can prevent surprises. If the plan name on your card is not one of the four above, call before scheduling so you have an accurate answer.

  • 01Make sure the plan name on your card matches one of the four listed here.
  • 02Ask your plan’s member services about benefits for outpatient counseling.
  • 03Find out whether your plan needs a referral or approval before counseling begins.
  • 04Call Infinity at (219) 472-8277 with the member ID to confirm before scheduling.

Counseling for Young People and Adults

Counseling at Infinity includes individual, couples and family work, along with services designed for young people. Child & Adolescent Counseling uses age-appropriate, evidence-based approaches and includes parents and caregivers when appropriate, while family counseling helps families strengthen communication and work through challenges together.

Coverage can differ by service, so when you call, ask how your Medicaid plan applies to the specific kind of counseling you have in mind. For a child or teen, that might be child and adolescent counseling, family counseling or both; for an adult, it might be individual or couples counseling.

Licensure, Location and Telehealth

Dr. Mashone Parker-Wright, Infinity’s founder and CEO, is licensed in Indiana and Illinois. In-person appointments happen at the Crown Point office in Northwest Indiana.

Meeting by telehealth is another possibility; whether it works for you depends on the clinician and on where you will be during sessions, so ask the team what is available now. Because the setting can affect how coverage applies, mention both your location and your preferred format when you confirm your benefits. Counseling for Illinois Residents explains more.

From Confirmed Coverage to a First Appointment

Once your plan and benefits are confirmed, the next step is simple. Call (219) 472-8277 or send an appointment request through the Contact page, and share a little about who the counseling is for and what is bringing you in.

From there, you or your child talk with a clinician about goals, and the work is shaped around the needs and strengths of the person in care. Sessions are supportive and collaborative, with a focus on building healthier coping skills and strategies for everyday life, and you can bring questions at any point along the way.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

For anything else, call (219) 472-8277. The team is glad to help.

Is YouthCare accepted at Infinity?

Yes. YouthCare is one of the four Illinois Medicaid plans on Infinity’s accepted list, alongside Blue Cross Community Health Plans, Meridian and CountyCare. Before the first appointment, confirm coverage for counseling with YouthCare and with the office, and keep the member ID available when you call so the plan can be identified correctly.

What if your Illinois Medicaid plan is not listed?

Only the four plans named on this page appear on Infinity’s Illinois Medicaid list. If your plan is different, or you are not sure which plan you have, call (219) 472-8277 before scheduling. The team can tell you where things stand so you can plan your next step with accurate information.

Can an Illinois Medicaid plan be used for a child’s counseling?

Child and adolescent counseling is one of Infinity’s four services, and four Illinois Medicaid plans are on the accepted list. Coverage for a young person depends on their specific plan and benefits, so a parent or guardian should confirm it with the plan and with the office, using the child’s own member ID, before the first appointment.
